I know this has been talked about but I had some questions that I didn't see addressed in any previous posts.
First, is the bushing for an automatic transmission different than a manual? In most parts catalogs the bushing is listed as being for a 5 speed.
Secondly, is it necessary to replace the o-ring and seal at the time of the bushing replacement?
Third, my indy mentioned he didn't have much luck with the freeze and shrink method of installing the bushing. Has anyone ever actually successfully replaced this bushing? How hard was it? Will sticking the bushing in a freezer shrink it sufficiently? Can it just be tapped in?
Thanks.
