Well i sold my 2001 and kept my 1999 9-3 SE - 4 cyl T5 -auto - convert.
Occasionally the "Check Engine" light would come on and I would reset it by briefly disconnecting the battery. Yesterday on the highway (401) at approx 120 KM/hr suddenly the "check Engine" light started flashing and ---WOWWWWW -- the engine lost power -- transport trucks to the left and behind me and cars between me and the shoulder. Needless to say I had major anxious moments before I managed to coast to the shoulder. Once on the shoulder the car started again as if nothing happened but the CE light stayed on.
With my laptop, OBDII cable and demo software I bought through Ebay ( $18) I just finished reading the stored codes which are
1. PO132 (o2 sensor circuit HV)
2. PO 138 ( also O2 sensor circuit)
3. PO300 ( random multiple cylinder misfire)
I reset the codes and now the dash light is off and the car runs very well but the thought of this happening again scares me. What do these codes mean - the sensors are faulty or there is something wrong with the circuit and how do I fix this?
