You should be able to buy a replacement radiator for pretty cheap. It will be combo plastic and metal but should be fine. Either type test before installing.
Yes, it takes some time to remove the radiator. I did a V6 rad a couple years back and the hardest part was accessing the drain plug. But, if you are trashing it and not reusing the fluid, just punch a hole in it and save yourself the trouble.
If I remember right you have to remove the front bumper, but I was parting out the car I did so I would try to see if you can without doing it. Plenty of fasteners hold them on. Otherwise, the rubber clips that hold the radiator in place can be tricky in a tight space, but not troublesome.
I know the V6 had an oil cooler bolted to the front but can't remember if my 4cyl does. But overall draining was a pain. It is slippery and gets everywhere and stings on bloody knuckles.
