sometimes if the brake fluid level is near the minimum level it can cause the chime and ! light when coming to a stop or going around a corner. Also have seen this when oil level is low and coming to a stop or going around a corner causes oil pick-up to suck air and cause low oil pressure for a brief moment. The brake issue will also cause the brake light to come on in the dash and the low oil will cause the oil light to come on, but becuase they come on for such a brief amount of time, most customers only notice the chime and the ! light.
