wheel alignment issues

Hey Gang. It's been a long time. But I've had no probs with my ride for sometime...Knock on wood!
HOWEVER, about 6 months ago. I got a new set of tires. Good Year Assurance TripleTred. The tires I had before were not holding up, so I "upgraded" to these. Now, right before I got these new tires I noticed my car was drifting to the right(ever so slightly). So I asked to get an alignment when I got the new set. Now, when I got the car back. The car pulled to the left. I called the shop and they were very nice and took it in again to make it right. They did another alignment but it didn't fix it. I took it back again and they found that my right(passenger side) front ball joint had started to wear out. They claimed this would do the trick(they again apologized and stated they were sorry the missed it the first time). Well...it still drifts to the left(actual pulls) and the steering wheel tilts to the right when i drive down a straight road.
Does anyone have an input on what the issue is? Is the shop at fault(are they slacking)? Or is there something that might be wrong with the front end? Tires? Wheels(I have aftermarket 17" wheels)? Any suggestions?
TIA, Alexandros
