I just went through all the confusion about the PCV system, as discussed in the thread I am linking to.

What I have learned is that it's actually quite easy to tell, if the car has the upgrade - if you know what you're looking for.

The original oil filler neck has no hose coming out of it on the side, as shown on the picture of my engine.

The #6 upgrade has an integrated nipple that hoses connect to. SWEDECAR's picture shows the setup with the engine cover on, but if you go to eEuroparts.com and search for Crank Ventilation Kit, you will see a picture of the proper filler neck.

I wish I would have had that information when I bought my car, but at least now I know I have to retrofit. After reading more about the potential sludge issue, I have no doubt I will retrofit as soon as possible.
