Of the handful of times I've ordered salvage Saab parts I found better deals at Volvo and Saab Auto Dismantlers.

As far as the quality and usability of salvage parts is concerned; a salvage caliper is perfectly safe and I would not hesitate to purchase one. Shocks and struts fall into a bit of a gray area when you can't be there to inspect and pick them yourself. I'm sure they'll sell you whatever you want, I even bought a used pressure plate for my car, but you may end up purchasing strut inserts that aren't much better than what you already have. It won't hurt to ask questions about their quality control practices, you may find that you could potentially get a great pair rather cheap.
