You might switch your oil change routine to a twice for year timeframe instead of based on mileage. I have a similar scenario but I also have long commutes at holidays of 1000 miles. I do mine in the spring and fall.
But then those engines are prone to sludging. If you haven't dropped the oil plan before I would do it now and then at least yearly run an engine cleaner through it to help keep the sludge at bay.

Sludge is your biggest concern, regardless of the miles.

Or you can can sell it cheap to me.
