Just how did they determine that a rod is bent, when the compression was ok? They would have had to have dropped the oil pan and visually inspected the rod. The rod can only become bent from striking one or more of the valves, in which case, one or more of the valves would also be bent, or injesting water through the air intake. Did they drop the oil pan, or did they just guess that you have a bent rod?... Ron
