Usually when the oil pressure light comes on, you have an oil pressure problem and the car should not be driven until the problem is found.
Next step is to hook up a manual oil pressure gauge and measure the real oil pressure. If low, you need to drop down the oil pan and heck for plugged up oil pickup screen.
The easiest place to check oil pressure is to use an adapter banjo bolt and tap into the turbo oil feed line instead of at oil pressure switch.
