I assume that this is a used engine? What's the mileage on it?

I've heard of people putting Vaseline into the bores (apply thickly around piston and bore edge) to prevent gasket crude from getting down to the rings. You can clean it out later. Kleenex and Vaseline can also be used in galley's and cooling jacket.
