Idling any time during warm is a bad idea for all the same reasons....what are you trying to accomplish? Warm-up happens much faster when driving...gently!
Oil in the cylinders when storing...always! Run for a couple of turns without plugs to distribute the oil on the cylinder walls and rings. You'd be surprised how much condensation can build up on metal surfaces during our winters. It would be fine it the temperature were consistent, but it's not. Basically when an intake valve is left open, that cylinder is open to atmosphere. In fact when storing seasonal equipment such as boat motors, chainsaws it's even recommended to 'fog' them while running. I wouldn't recommend this on our cars because of the MAF and O2 sensors. Before start-up I usually added a couple of drops and cranked to soften the old oil.
I stored cars for many years when I owned 5 of them and in some ways a stored car can deteriorate more than one that's driven...that's why I only own one now.
As for air, you can buy cans of compressed air for cleaning camera lenses and such.
