hey mike and SeeVTSaab...for some reason, all this time after the 'passing' of my 1995 900SC, i'm just seeing your notes. thanks so much for your kind words. i did end up with a lovely steel gray 2002 9-3SE Convertible, with relatively low mileage. 5-speed, charcoal leather. i still have a 2 mile commute, and most days i walk or ride my bike to work and back. makes way more sense than firing up the turbo! i currently have a bit over 49K miles on the saab, and she just got some work done yesterday. had to put in a new AC compressor and new serpentine belt (preventive) and some other things last fall, and yesterday the oil pressure sensor was replaced and the brake fluid was flushed/filled. lovely saab that doesn't get the drive time it deserves, i'm afraid...still, when i DO make a 200+ mile trip, it's a dream to drive.
