Assuming you're talking about the mid pipe (the straight one with the flex joing in the middle). You don't need to "hoist" it. When I did mine the cheap composite ramps you can get at any autozone, etc. will get it high enough (though it's a little tight as far as room.
Just use a dremel to cut the old clamps - no use struggling with rusted bolts, and replace. It's one of the easiest jobs I've had to do on my Saab.
If you're talking about welding a new flex joint onto an existing pipe (such as the downpipe), that's another story as it requires welding and positioning the original pipes just right before welding the new flex joint in.
