So this seemed to start after I replaced my evaporator, evaporator valve, & receiver/dryer and having the AC system properly flushed/vacuumed/recharged. If I'm driving with the AC on, I'll hear this really odd vibration sound randomly. It sounds like the vents are automatically adjusting, but it's LOUD. Like, obnoxiously loud, you can hear it outside the car. I could almost describe the sound as when a pulley has loose bearings, and at the right speed, the pulley starts to wobble off-set, and then it will fix itself...And when I hear this noise, I can feel a big drop in engine power. No visual signs, RPMs stay, turbo gauge is fine. It happens more so when I'm driving, not so much when I'm sitting idle, so it's hard for me to run outside the car and look in the engine bay when it makes that god-awful noise.

I recently replaced the idler pulley, tensioner pulley, and serpentine belt. While doing that, I wiggled what other pulley's I could in the engine to see if any of them felt loose, and none did. If anything, I thought the AC pulley would be losing it's bearing; I replaced the AC compressor in May '07 at 73k, so it's fairly new..ish. I know it's associated with the AC also, because I can turn on EVAP and the noise will not happen.

Any ideas on this wierd problem?
