I have recently purchased a 1997 Saab 900 SE turbo. When I first start the vehicle (cold start) and under acceleration. I have a rough idle and the abs light/brake light will come on. Also when accelerating, the climate control system will switch to "off". This happens throughout the day, but will happen less frequently as the vehicle reaches normal running temperatures. When I come up to a stop, or the car returns to idle, yet again the climate control will turn back on, and the ABS/brake light will go away. If I allow the vehicle to just sit and idle, at any temperature, the climate control will work properly and there will be no warning dash lights lit. As soon as I rev the vehicle up, or put it in gear and accelerate, the climate control will set itself off, and the ABS/red brake light will kick on. Also, generally, when I am starting up the vehicle for the first time in the morning, after I engage drive, the tranny will enter 'limp mode", and the CEL and CGL will kick on, after the car is warmed up and running for a while, I can cycle the key a few times, and get the lights to go away and the vehicle to shift properly, but the climate control / ABS light issue, is always there. Bad ground issue? Vacuum leak? Bad sensor? I am looking for any assistance. I will make a quick list of what I have done to the vehicle - new spark plugs, new air filter, new cabin filter, cleaned and reclamped positive battery cable, removed and cleaned interior cabin temp sensor, checked and topped off all fluids. I will soon clean the AIC, turbo bypass valve, and boost controller valve. Any help would be great.
