Some boneyards can spin wheels to see they're straight, but not all can. But they'll give you a replacement if a rim is bent.
Look over the inner side of the rim to look for any obvious flat spots, and look at the bead area for corrosion. If it's minor the tire shop can probably buff it out. Have the tire shop spin the wheel before they mount a tire to check.
I've bought used wheels before and it's the way to go, IMHO. I do have some steelies on daughter's '99 9-3. They were the winter rims on my wife's 9-5 until the 9-3 came with a set of winter alloys. Now the kid gets the steelies with wheel covers.
I've done dedicated winter wheels for 30+ years. With 4 cars in the fam these days storage is a nuisance, but beats remounting the tires on all 4 cars 2X a year.
