I'm not aware of anything systemically wrong with your model year the bad wiring was mostly 03s and 04s. BTW you are on the wrong board. You should post on the SS board. High voltage can cause this. What is the condition of the brown and yellow wires? Of course you would not be touching the glass part of the bulb with your bare fingers.
