I am the second owner of my vert.
My 2000 SE vert has 19k miles on it. I bought it with 10k in late 2005 for 19k, and it works great. The only things I have had to do with it was a new battery last month (It was the original one up until then!) and oil changes every six months. The 2000 was also the first year for the new Trionic 7 engine management system and B205 engine in all of the 9-3 range. I have had no problems with any of those. I am going to have it checked for sludge soon, but I don't anticipate finding any since it has had full synthetic oil for its whole life. I think it is a great car, and it would definitely be worth checking it out.
