It's no confusion at all. EUR 819 and 840A WILL NOT fit your car without grinding off the hump on the backside of the backing plate.

EUR 800 will fit right in.

Yes, just like the two genuine Saab numbers 12759808 and 93192749 looks different to each other as far as the backing plate shim and three finger clip go, so does the 819 and 840A differ too but they both fit 2000 and up 9-3 and 9-5.

But also keep in mind that EUR 800, 819 and 840A IS NOT identical pad to Saab genuine. Saab's pads looks to be of a higher quality and finish and Akebono have probably produced those pads to Saab specs (whatever they might be).

See, now you got me going to where I didn't want to go. lol
