Don't mean to start a "this car is better than that one", but I do want to add that all European cars have lots of issues that come up. The only trouble-free car I've owned is my old Honda Civic. In comparison, my Viggen has been a "nightmare" in terms of the number of things that I've had to fix over the years (mostly minor stuff)... but you'll be hard pressed to find any other US or European car that's as trouble-free as a Honda or Toyota. Would I trade my Viggen for another Civic? NO WAY!!! :)
A co-worker who absolutely loved his 3-series BMW always called it BM-Trouble-u because of all the problems he had to deal with. Just a fact of life with European cars.
