I wouldn't bother either Posted by Wayfarer [Email] (#479) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Wayfarer) on Wed, 5 Jan 2011 10:30:15 In Reply to: upgrade to acc, stevieg, Tue, 4 Jan 2011 21:04:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have both and I prefer the manual set up. The acc doesn't give you the same option to split the air flow to both side vents and the windshield. (I have NGs not 9-3s)
I must say I don't think it is an easy thing to do either. I would assume though if you had the whole center dash unit you could do it. I think the only sensor is the one near the lighter. But the guts is where all the difference is so you would have to pull out the complete center and the glove box, and driver side panel to get at the vent tubes.
I'd install new O rings for the heater core while in there.
You'd probably want to get the WIS for your model and study the wiring. If I can do an engine and tranny transplant/conversion from auto to manual you can do this. but would it be worth it?
