I just wanted to say...

Today I got my 1995 Saab 900 S convertible back.
197K miles and I lost the transmission back in August. I decided that it was probably the end of the line for the Saab. I went out and bought a BMW 335i coupe, threw a tune on it, dual cone intake, downpipes, etc. Fantastic car...can't and won't say anything bad about it. It's a beast. But for some reason, I decided to store the Saab. I just couldn't bring myself to part with it. Ive had that car from the beginning.
About a month ago, I stumbled across a used transmission with less than 50K on it for 300 bucks at Brim's Imports in Kenton, OH (they have two more if anyone needs one.) I also found a local shop that put it in for 350.
Well, today I got my Saab back. At first it seemed like I was sitting up too high. And the brakes felt stiff. The steering wheel thin in my hands. And the response off the line...well. But after five minutes and the radio code in, man I was back in the saddle again! I so badly wanted to put the top down and just cruise it.
Ive basically decided Im never getting rid of the car unless something horrible happens to it. It will sit in the garage next to it's German cousin and will come out sans top on the first sunny and warm day.
There are other cars out there...but I still love my Saab!
Just wanted to share with you guys.
