caliper bolts and loctite for comment request

I am soon to replace my '97 900S front brake pads & rotor. I have the pads & rotor. I read up on removing the caliper bolts which require 10MM allan socket drives to remove with a breaker bar. Last week I shot up the bolt heads with PB Blaster to soften the removal.
I read that the bolts should have loctite blue on reinstall.
So my question is - do you usually just put a dab of loctite at the outer end of the bolt so you do NOT spread the loctite deep into the thread receptacle. I figure that should be enough to provide hold beyond the required torque. What is your approach or thinking. I'd really hate it if on my next set of pads/rotor, I end up cracking the bolt head housing/receptacle trying to remove these bolts.
