Well, I did it! I am so happy to have another Saab 9-3 Hatch. I have always favored the 9-3 hatch -don'task me why. Before the test drive the seller (dealer) informed me the struts&Mounts were bad. Having had a 99'perviously this was not a deal breaker for me,as it seems the struts are a pretty common wear and tear item for these cars. I did wish the dealer had told me before I drove 100 Miles out to see the car. When merging onto the freeway the boost cut out which had happened to my 99'shortly atfter I bought it. Other wise the car (heater knobs and all) is in really great shape. Has some records. I saved the best part for last,after the test drive I offered the seller $1400( I think I scared him with my boost findings) and he took it:-) As a result of my great deal I have about $1300 left over for repairs, and maintance. I plan to buy a spare DIC, Replace the struts and mounts (My indy quoted me $312) the boost controller,plugs, and change all the fluids. Any other thoughts or suggestions? This board is oneof the reasons as a (relatively) cash strapped college student I decided to buy other Saab.
