sounds like a fuel pump check valve issue to me.
Try this: when you get in to start it up, turn the key on and energize everything before turning to start. if it fires up then theres prob issue with fuel supply line.
Ive seen also the hold-clip on the pump assembly brake off and the fuel line start to slip out. usually the orings hold them in place and keep fuel from jetting out, but unseat them enough to cause an initial fuel pressure supply problem on cold starts.
They will need to drop the tank down again to inspect. ask about fuel line hold-down bracket too. think there was a recall on this some time back cause of the fuel lines popping out.
