Door Speaker Amp Cuts In and Out

Ok...I leave my Amp on (loudness control) on the door speaker amp all the time. Lately...I've been noticing that the radio hasn't had much fullness, and the door speakers have no sound (or vibration!)...and then...after about ten minutes of driving the amp and door speakers come on.
Seems this happened as the weather got cooler.
When it was working I was impressed with the sound and the sensitivity of the radio.
