Hi All,
I have a 1997 900 SET with about 150, 000 miles. The starter is original. Just today, the starter started acting weird. Sounds like it is engaging fine, starting the car,But then it sounds like it is sticking, or some type of ginding noise after car is started;almost like its staying engaged. This only lasts for a second or two. It may even make some odd noise when im cranking; i cant be sure on that yet. Shall i assume my starter is going bad? Maybe the gear can be cleaned and greased a tad? What have you people been getting for mileage on your units? Thank You in advance...
