Where to get new bushing for lower alternator bracket? Posted by Nicholas [Email] (#2995) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nicholas) on Sat, 30 Jul 2011 23:39:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well , it seems with the weeks it's taken me to finish the alternator job on my 9-3 that my old thread sorta died off.
Good news is I finally got the alternator free , and I think the top/bottom brackets are OK. I plan on using standard bolts I got for replacement, but with all the drilling on the bottom I sorta tore out and up the bushing sleeve that's on the outside of that bracket. Just couldn't get the bigger drill bit in there without catching and ripping it out, along with banging myself up pretty bad with the drill :(
Would anyone know where to get this bushing? Also, is it possible an auto parts store would have something that would work so I can avoid the shipping wait, and all? This appears to be a hard steel sleeve that was pressed in. Thanks for any ideas!
