The serp belt was one of my first DIY projects and it's a pretty easy project. Only suggestions are to make sure you have a 1/2" socket extension to release the tensioner and a diagram of where the belt goes. I tried using a 3/8" socket extension and after I started rounding off the edges I stopped and made the trip to the hardware store. It was super easy locking the tensioner in place with the 1/2" socket. Once the tensioner is locked you just slide the belt off the pulleys. Going in is a little harder because of the limited space. The A/C compressor is the only pulley I would consider "difficult" since its behind the front wheel well. Once that one is on, you just loop the belt around whats left and release the tensioner.
It shouldn't take much more than an hour the first time. Most of the time will be spent jacking up the car, removing the wheel and then the cowling (~4 screws) to get better access to the pulleys.
Helped a friend replace the belt on his 2004 TSX earlier this year. I thought we were both going to loose fingers trying to get the belt on/off! The 9-3 is so much easier.
