More oil light shenanigans. Posted by camm [Email] (#191) [Profile/Gallery] (more from camm) on Sat, 10 Sep 2011 17:23:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
As I posted below, I had an issue where driving home early last week, my oil light came on, flickered and went off a couple of times. I moved the car in the driveway this weekend, and no oil light.
After pulling the valve cover, scraping the pan and not finding any sludge, I took the advice of the board, and pulled the pan this afternoon. Not as hard a job as I expected.
In the pan: not a bit of sludge; it was a clean as a whistle. I have a pic of the pickup screen in my gallery for reference - it looks good.
Now what?
I grabbed a mechanical oil pressure gauge, and would like to hook it into the system (using the turbo oil supply, coming from the filter area) , but I haven't been able to find a explanation of how to do that. Do I need a second banjo fitting to put on top of the existing one, and an extra long banjo bolt?
Anyways, TIA for any advice.
