2000 SE, coolant leak (slight)...additive in coolant Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Wed, 22 Feb 2012 10:37:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Took it to the indie, and since it's a small leak (filled a bit once a month, see seepage at the upper rad hose, URO hoses seem inferior...might be leaking only when under pressure). It's my mother's car and since I don't have time to look into it, the mechanic put an additive in the coolant. I guess it was the only option right now.
What does this do? I personally didn't quite want this, but again, there was no other option. Is it just a temp fix? Are there any downsides to it?
Thanks,
Bender
