Hey thanks,
I just finished the CPS again. We'll see if it lasts, as I just took it for a short ride up to the grocery stors.
As usual , it was another SAAB story. Apparently I had partially stripped the head on that impossible to reach butter soft torx head screw. Just like the alternator , it turned into a several day job from hell. Had to disco the down pipe and most of the exhaust and carefully work in an extractor with the Dremel flex shaft (a required tool for me and SAAB). I finally got it, and figured I'd solve this problem for good as usual by replacing with a standard bolt head. Ha! Even that proved to be troublesome as the darn bracket itself is like a millimeter away from the edge of the bolt head. I wound up tightening with needlenose and a 10mm wrench rigged horizontal with a screwdriver slipped on the other end for leverage. lol. Oh even worse than this was the fact that the highest priced "lifetime warranty" replacement CPS from advance comes with a different plug! Luckily with just three wires, and one being the "bare" one I was able to deduce the wiring and solder to the old plug. I then wrapped in electrical tape and heat shielding. Ins(aab)ane!
