From one to another : ) I'll check the battery date as it does seem to be turning a bit slowly and I replaced the starter last fall. Mine is a 2001 OG9/3 and I'm on the third crank sensor. Come to think about it, the starting issue started after the car sat for three weeks. It took an act of god to get it started. It spun over like the timing chain had snapped. I went through everything and all seemed OK. So I changed the CKS as a total guess, but it still wouldn't start. Then I just cranked it over in 15 second intervals and it started to catch and finally fired up. It ran as before and I changed the plugs. It was fine for weeks and then this cold start issue crept back in. I tried a test today by shutting off the radio and waiting for the pump to stop. It started every time. Tonight, with the running lights on, it wouldn't start. So the battery may be the issue. But here's the rub, why design a car to be so damn sensitive? Are they not designed to be driven in Sweden, where the average temp is zero? It's about as ridiculous as the vehicle shutting off because a plug misfired. Or a driver that wouldn't be trusted on a lawnmower. And a bushing instead of a bearing? How asinine is that? A bushing on the left side, a bearing on the right side. I can't think of another vehicle that uses a bushing in that way. And that's the 9/3 in a nut shell. A great car, except for several components that make it a miserable excuse for a vehicle. And let's not even start talking about that over bushed excuse of a front end that can produce cracks in the firewall. Lovely.
