There is no ABS code P-0501 but I think you mean a Trionic code instead since it comes from the fuel injection Trionic computer.
It's really no quick and easy ways to 100% determine if you have a bad ABS module or a bad wheel sensor or bad wiring but it involves to actually test the sensor output when the problem is present with a tester hooked up to the right wires.
If on the other hand you had access to a code reader that read all Saab modules and codes and if you also had a speed related code in MIU and TCM (if auto) and that you also had some CAN communication codes related to ABS module it would be a slam dunk for the ABS module.
Also with a better code reader that can read live data you would be able to dial in on the ABS module and see the 4 wheel sensor working while driving.
That's the beauty of modern scantools.
My gut feeling though based on other occasions I've seen says that it is the module having bad days if the dash lights up with several warning lights and that it comes and goes.
