Stuck ignition lock

After about a week or so of intermittent "stickiness," the ignition lock cylinder on my 1999 9-3 is now stuck in the lock position, and no amount of WD 40, compressed air or anything else will convince it to budge. The problem here is that since I can't turn the key to the center, "off" position, I can't get to the pawl to unlock the cylinder and pull it out. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to pull another entire key mechanism from a salvage yard and then just deal with two different keys. Anybody got any other ideas, or fixes for this serious irritation?(I'm in rural Idaho so when I said Saab the locksmith basically hung up on me.)
