Need a place to tie my boost gauge in. Posted by ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ryan) on Wed, 13 Feb 2013 17:57:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
This is on an '02 Viggen. Currently I'm tee'd off the vacuum line to my bypass valve... and I know why this is not a good idea, which is why I'm moving it. The problem is that I'm not seeing a whole lot of other good looking opportunities.
When I did the "bypass valve mod" seen on Nick T's TrollTuner page and elsewhere like saab-tuners.com, I was left with a capped nipple on my TB. Is this a good nipple to tie into? It's so close to the butterfly that I don't really know what side it ties into.
Also, I am only reading about 11 psi max on my boost gauge while I'm in the red on my dash. Even before my current stage 3 JZW tune, I was reaching 18 psi (confirmed while I was on the dyno), and it was registering at the top of the yellow band on my dash. I've checked my BPV with my Mity-Vac to 25 in hg, and it holds steady, so that appears to be working fine. I hope it's just reading weird because of where I'm tied into, but I'm skeptical.
