It seems these things have been discussed endlessly, but with so many combinations - none seem to be the same as the others:
01 viggen top has been cantankerous for some time, leaks suspected. at times it would only raise half way up then stop, and "fall" halfway back at the pivot in the roofline. Giving some gentle help would result in it completing the cycle.
Recently what is happening is during the closing process, the 5th bow won't always come down by itself. And when it does, the latches in the tonneau cover don't engage. I can hold the switch in close position and hear the pump running until it gives up and says failure.
I can latch front, however the front no longer comes down all the way to the pount that I really have to pull down with my weight to get the 'claws' to grab the top of the windshield. Once I do latch it up front, I can see the back has popped up about an inch from the tonneau cover because it doesn't latch. Of course at this point, the trunk won't open either.
I'm in Houston, where all the dealers have gone away, so I'm not sure what I'll do if it needs programming at this point.
