I have a 2000 Viggen 2.3T and last week I started to smell the usual Saab oil smell from under the hood and today I noticed an exhaust smell coming in the air vents when I was stationary. I popped the hood and noticed right away that the PVC Bushing and nipple (top passanger side rear valve cover) were popped out. That explained the burning oil smell and exhaust, I think, coming into the cabin from the air vents. So the bushing is too worn out to fit back in correctly so I ordered a new one and a new PVC nipple.
So tonight I get home and start doing some cleaning up and when I went to remove the nipple and bushing a small piece of vac hose fell of the bottom, about 3" long. Now I know and see there is a smaller nipple that comes off the larger one and it should have a vacum hose on it and going somewhere. I can not find anywhere that smaller vac line should go to and hook up. On the eeuroparts diagram for that small vac hose it shows a one way valve but it does not show where it hooks into. It also looks like it should be 10" or more. This is the hose I am talking about:

Can someone please point me in the right direction as to where this hose hooks up? I also do not know if this will help or fix the problem but the cruise control has never worked on this car. I'm thinking this hose is part of that problem and I am dying to get fix it. FYI there is no Saab shop anywhere close to me, 2 plus hours away, so it is me and myself.
