Keep in mind that a 1999 Viggen is essentially a 2000 and up T7 fuel injection system car. That coupled with that the online industry is not really up to snuff on every little quirk that happens with a split year-split engine-split injection technology and you end up with conflicting statements of how the car is equipped.
So a 1999 9-3 with the B204 T5 fuel injection does indeed have two coolant temp sensors, one for the fuel injection system and one for the cooling fan system.
