ABS sensor connectors are inside engine bay Posted by walt [Email] (#2707) [Profile/Gallery] (more from walt) on Sun, 28 Apr 2013 05:01:14 In Reply to: How to disconnect ABS sensor, Lothar, Sat, 27 Apr 2013 18:29:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Right hand ABS connector is underneath engine air cleaner box near right headlight. It's one of those two wire red slide/lock connectors. Once separated, the ABS wire can be fished out through rubber grommet in inner fender shared with brake line. Left hand ABS connector is beneath engine fuse/relay box, which should be moved along with coolant overflow tank. If I can get the allen head ABS mounting screws loose, I usually replace with stainless 6x1mm bolts. Then I can disconnect ABS bracket at the wheel steering knuckle instead of at wire harness connection.
