Looking at a 2000 9-3 with Red DIC: A question Posted by MarcD [Email] (#835) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MarcD) on Sun, 9 Jun 2013 07:06:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Good Morning!
I'm currently looking for another Saab of the '99-2002 vintage. I found a 2000 9-3 which of course has the T7 system, the problem is that it has a red DIC. I've searched and read the posts describing this as something not to be done. What I haven't found is what harm actually could come from this match up.
Before I take a look at the car I'm wondering if there are any common problems a red DIC will cause in a T7 car? I would guess the CEL light would be on but what I'm trying to find out is whether or not there is lasting damage, like a burnt valve, waiting to bite me should I buy the car.
Thanks!
Marc
