P0300, rough idle and fuel smell Posted by MarcD [Email] |
Hello All!
Read the boards every day, don't post very often but have a question I can't find the answer to: 1999 9-3 Base with just a hair under 205k. Today I started the car and she idled as though one cylinder was missing for about 20 seconds. When I opened the hood to check there was the clear smell unburned gasoline. After 20-30 seconds the idle smoothed out to normal and I drove home about 5 miles and all was fine. No tell tale hissing that would indicate a vacuum leak, at least that I could tell. Plugged in my OBDII reader and it gave the P0300 as pending.
This past Saturday I did clean the AIC valve and replaced a bunch of vacuum hoses. Double checked them all tonight and everything seems fine.
New NGK BCPR7ES in February as well as new O2 sensors, both and both Bosch.
DIC was made in '09 and is second hand to me.
Any thoughts?
TIA
Marc D
