Intermittent "key not accepted" / no start Posted by MC [Email] (#1472) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MC) on Thu, 1 Aug 2013 08:25:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Need to pick some brains about a 1999 9-3 convertible (T5)
Towed in with No start/No crank and "Key not accepted" message.
Owner tried both keys that he has (No remotes) with no success.
I was able to start it once yesterday by means of reprogramming immobilizer with the TECH 2. Moved it over to the work shop, turned it off and tried to start again..."key not accepted". Stored Fault code B2385 "transponder key: missing" and would not allow to reprogram again.
Tried it again this morning: Put the key in started right up (no SID message) drove it around the block very briefly. Parked it, tried to start again..."Key not accepted".
I suspect that the TWICE module is dumping the key-transponder code-memory after the first start. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
