2002 9-3 Viggen 2.3L - 96,600 miles

I was driving earlier tonight when the CEL came on and started flashing. I'm not able to retrieve codes from where I am, but this is typically an indication of unburned fuel or major emissions issues tripping a sensor.

Anyway, I have been having a few issues lately related to the ignition cassette and it just so happens that my used/back-up DIC seems to be misfiring on one cylinder so I can't use it.

I went out to try to start the car and with the key in the "on" position, the Boost gauge on the dash is spiked 12 noon, straight up, in the yellow range. The engine is not running. This seems odd.

With the limited info available, can anyone point me in the right direction to get started?

I needed one anyway so I have already ordered a new DIC.

Any help is sincerely appreciated since I can't seem to find anything matching this description on the boards. Thanks!
