Not too hard. If I remember correctly, once you pull back the liner in the hatch to get to the motor, you just have to unplug a power connector and then remove a few bolts/screws holding the motor unit to a bracket. First, of course, you want to remove the black nut on the outside where the antenna mast comes out because that anchors the top part of the antenna assembly to the rear quarter panel. Then you should be able to just lift the whole antenna motor assembly out of the hatch.
Once you have it out, you can see the screws to open up the housing where the antenna nylon-toothed cable retracts. If the cable is all shredded or something, you can just remove the pieces then pull the antenna mast out the top, reassemble the motor housing and put it back in the hatch (in reverse order). Then you can just order a new antenna mast from eEuroparts or other source. The new mast comes with the nylon cable attached and you can install the mast from outside the car. Just search this board for "antenna mast" and you will find various posts with instructions on how to replace the mast and cable.
