All depending on the type of noise but if it is a kind of hooting noise that maybe goes up and down in pitch when giving some throttle and that it maybe goes away after a few minutes when the engine is warming up, it could be the turbo charger bearing that creates that.
That noise might not mean it is something that's going to break in short order but it could go on for a long time.
But you should get it checked out so that it is not something else that would get worse if left unattended.
