I have a set of 195/65 x 15 snows I've run on a daughter's car for the past 3-4 winters. Her normal tire is a 205/55x16. According to the Miatanet tire size calculator there is a .1" difference in diameter. This amounts to tenths of a mile per hour difference--nothing to worry about.
This year those tires will go on my other daughter's car which is wearing 205/50 x 16 summer tires. She will have to watch her speed as they will rotate slower at a given speed. But then, I'm not sure how far off her speedo is anyway. The speedometers in our other Saabs seem to read 2-3 mph high, so if she just assumes indicated speed is accurate she should be fine.
On my 9K I run 205/55x16 summer and 205/60x15 winter, which is a .2" difference.
Wife's wagon is 215/55x15 summer and 205/65x15 winter, another .2" difference.
