Timing belts were never installed on any Saab called a 9-3...

The OG 9-3 (1999-2002) never got the non-turbo V6 that the NG900 (1994-1998) did, which had a belt. The V6 in the 9-3SS (2003-) uses timing chains, and is no relation at all to the older V6 in the 900, 9000 & 9-5 (it's closer to the 4 in the 9-3SS...).
