Front Control arms R&R. Any tips?

The 2000 9-3 I acquired last winter for daughter #1 is needing ball joints. 217K.
Making it a bit more interesting are the aftermarket poly bushings installed by the PO. They now have some play in them and the inner edge of each front wheel hits the bolt than holds the bushes in place when at full lock. The bolt extends about 3/8" below the bottom of the bushing, just enough for some interference. Between wear in the bushing and the play in the ball joints I have to do the whole enchilada on both sides. Stock bushings are fine for my kid, so I'll likely get the complete lower arms which are $120 each at eEuro (Febi). My indy can do an alignment when I'm done.
Any tricks I need to know for this job? It is a southern car, so no rust to deal with. A quick look tells me most bolts are accessible, but I haven't really crawled under for a detailed look. No lift, so I'll be on my back.
I also need to do the rear engine mount. Anything weird, hard or special about that? (Manual tranny car).
